I think I’ve hosted about 15 children’s birthday parties over the years. From pizza arcades to golf and games to train stations, we’ve had a variety. The last 3 parties I’ve hosted have been petting zoo/farm parties at Fiesta Farm or Owl Creek.
When Fiesta Farm closed down I wondered what we’d do for MJ’s party. She loved animals, still does, and there aren’t many options for petting zoo-type parties. I was excited to discover that Owl Creekoffered the same types of parties Fiesta Farm once had. We’ve had two parties there, and by the second, Owl Creek had grown. I was excited this year when I saw they’d now have a pumpkin patch with additional activities.
The usual favorites were present at the pumpkin patch and included in the $8 admission: goats, pigs, rabbits, llamas, chickens, a donkey, and a play area for the kids. Horse rides, a hayride, llama walk, animal feed, and other games are all additional fees. Concessions are available as well. While these costs are understandable, it was quite different from the all-inclusive parties I’d become accustomed to at the farm.
