A new family experience has come to the desert and it will take you back in time. Medieval Times Scottsdale has opened and it is a great family entertainment! Take your family into another era. Experience the show and themed dinner as the Lords and Ladies did in their time. You don't have to be a theater person, or a Renaissance fan. It's a fun time to experience a show and dinner!
I was excited to take my kids to the Medieval Times. Even more excited to see the new castle in Scottsdale. It was a perfect time to celebrate my youngest son’s birthday. He had just turned 12 years old, days before. I thought it would be fun to surprise him. I paid for a VIP treatment in which he would be knighted and they would announce his birthday. Upon arriving, we walked down the red carpet to the VIP line. We were greeted by Knights. You check-in and are given a crown corresponding to a team to root for. The staff is great! They all keep to their character, accents and all! Medieval Times is not only a theater show, but they also provide a “feast”. There is a 5-course meal which includes soup, garlic bread, chicken, corn, potatoes wedges, and dessert. I didn’t expect much, but the food was very delicious! Even my kids enjoyed it! They also provide boxes for leftovers if needed. They are also great at accommodating any dietary restrictions. You must remember....there are NO UTENSILS. So be prepared to use your hands. A full bar is also available for the 21 and over Lords and Ladies.
My Son being "Knighted"
As you eat, the show takes place. The crowd gets involved and cheers on for your color Knight. The excitement gets everyone participating and makes for competition. Whether you're with a group of friends or just a small family, it's fun and entertaining. It's a perfect time to enjoy the show and be a kid again! Your kids will definitely enjoy the competition, the rivalry, and the acting. Even if someone is not into the Renaissance/Medieval Era, it's great for entertainment. It would be perfect for a team outing as well! If you haven't been Medieval Times, you need to visit, at least once. It's a great place for a date night or for a big occasion. I went to the Scottsdale location but there are others around the U.S. as well. You and your family can have a chance to win tickets to Medieval Times.
